Simple Question – Who should Manage A War?

Hopefully you aren’t one of those who will have to subvert logic and common sense on this question in order to support your political leanings.

(1) Career Army General David Petraeus?
General Petraeus has 37+ years of military training and experience, entering the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1970, graduating tenth in his class and climbing the ranks of the US Army ever since (currently a four-star General). General Petraeus has also earned the General Geirge C. Marshall Award as the top graduate of the US Army Command And General Staff College Class of 1983 at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. He subsequently earned an MPA and PHD in international relations from Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs in 1985 and 1987, respectively, and later served as an Assistant
Professor of International Relations at the U.S. Military Academy.
In 1995, his Georgetown fellowship was cut short when he was assigned to the UN command in Haiti as its Chief of Staff during Operation Uphold Democracy. Four years later, as assistant division commander for operations, he deployed with the 82nd Airborne Division to Kuwait as part of Operation Desert Spring, the continuous rotation of combat forces through Kuwait during the decade after the Gulf War. During 2001-02, as a brigadier general, Petraeus served a ten-month tour in Bosnia-Herzegovina as part of Operation Joint Forge. In Bosnia, he was the NATO Stabilization Force Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations as well as the Deputy Commander
of the U.S. Joint Inter-Agency Counter-Terrorism Task Force, a command
created after the September 11 Attacks to add a counter-terrorism capability to the U.S. forces attached to the NATO command in Bosnia.

(2) Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid?
Harry Reid – lifetime/career politician and lawyer, starting his law career in 1964 and quickly entering politics in 1967. He has been receiving a public paycheck ever since (40+ years), really only becoming well known upon Senator Tom Daschle’s election defeat in the 2004 elections. Harry Reid then assumed the role of Senate Minority Leader. Since that time Reid has become notorious for breaking centuries of honor and tradition by filibustering (some say illegally) judicial nominations, and publicly calling the US president a "loser", for which he would later apologize amidst an immense outpouring of bi-partisan fury and disgust (yes – that even included a large part of his own Democrat party). Reid is rumored to be even more unstable since suffering a mild stroke in 2005, and is also famous for many "shady" dealings involving a questionable $1.1 million deal on some Las Vegas real estate, $60k in donations from groups tied to the convicted felon lobbyist Jack Abramoff, and $3,300 in personal use of campaign donations for which a complaint has been filed. Reid is also notorious for promoting bills which would benefit himself personally – like the bridge project near his 160 acres of land in Nevada/Arizona.

Regardless of HOW you feel about politics, this is such a simple answer to such a simple question.
General Petraeus obviously has the interests of both our COUNTRY and our SOLDIERS as his primary objective.

Lets keep the war on a winning track, and keep the commited loser Harry Reid under pressure to FUND OUR TROOPS.
