Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

No spoilers here, so don’t worry.

I just finished the final Harry Potter Book – The Deathly Hallows – this morning at 2am, and I have got to agree with comments made by J.K. Rowling herself – this is by far the best read of the entire series.  This does not mean I think it is the best part of the whole Harry Potter storyline, because I am still not sure on that score.  It was by far the most exciting and most revealing, but I think possibly the third book – Prisoner of Azkaban – may still be the best overall storyline in my view.

Anyhow, this is probably the fastest 750+ page book I have ever read.  I received the book at around 2-3pm on Saturday in the mail (from WalMart.Com) and read it through to 1:30am that night.  I restarted on Sunday after church/etc at around the noon time-frame and read it through until 2am this morning.  It was almost surreal, and I was somewhat numbed each day by fear of what was to come – the deaths, the revelations, the understanding that the best storyline I’ve ever read was about to come to a close.
 J. K. Rowling Thank you so very much, J.K. Rowling, for enriching my life beyond measure with the Harry Potter books.  May you be forever blessed in life as your books have done for me.
